Let us introduce to you: “Global Photographic Union”, shortened as GPU.

At the outset, it must be said that GPU is not a replacement for local “club” photography where photographers attend on a regular basis and take a full and active role in their “club” or for regional, federation or national level photography.

GPU is formed for those photographers who wish to take part in a truly international organisation where photographic art allows and encourages cultural exchange.

GPU operate its own distinctions scheme where photographers collects points from acceptances, mentions and awards in international exhibitions ; members can apply for GPU “crowns” without further submission of work or gaining more “acceptances”.

A GPU azon fotósok számára jön létre, akik valóban nemzetközi szervezetben kívánnak részt venni, ahol a fotóművészet lehetővé teszi és ösztönzi a kulturális cserét.

A GPU saját megkülönböztetési rendszerét működteti, ahol a fotós pontokat gyűjt a nemzetközi kiállításokon elfogadott befogadások, megemlítések és díjak alapján; A tagok GPU-koronákra jelentkezhetnek anélkül, hogy további munkát beadnának, vagy további “elfogadásokat” szereznének.

GPU is a truly international photographic organisation – with GPU inspired and managed BY photographers and managed FOR photographers. The management board is currently represented by 8 internationally renowned photographers from 7 countries with members of GPU from 4 continents. Each country has a dedicated GPU national “delegate” who is the local contact point for all issues related to GPU.

Guiyang a délnyugat-kínai Guizhou tartomány fővárosa. A tartomány központjában fekszik, a Yunnan – Guizhou-fennsík keleti részén és a Nanming-folyó északi partján, a Wu-folyó egyik ágában. A város magassága körülbelül 1100 méter (3600 láb). A terület 8.034 négyzetkilométer (102 négyzetkilométer). [1] A 2010.

Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou province of Southwest China. It is located in the center of the province, situated on the east of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau, and on the north bank of the Nanming River, a branch of the Wu River. The city has an elevation of about 1,100 meters (3,600 ft). It has an area of 8,034 square kilometers (3,102 sq mi).[1] At the 2010 census, its population was 4,324,561, out of whom 3,037,159 lived in the 7 urban districts.[2]

A city with humid subtropical climate, Guiyang is surrounded by mountains and forest. The area, inhabited since at least the Spring and Autumn period, formally became the capital of the surrounding province in 1413, during the Yuan dynasty. The city is home to a large Miao and Bouyei ethnic minority population. Guiyang has a diversified economy, traditionally a center for aluminum production, phosphate mining, and optical instrument manufacturing; however, following reforms, the majority of the city’s economic output in the services sector. Since 2015, it has seen targeted investments into big data and quickly emerged as a local innovation hub.
