Jaro Viňarský: ANIMALINSIDE – Štúdio Mestskénho Divadla Žilina – 19:00 Physical performance inspired László Krasznahorkai’s novel and Max Neumann’s paintings

Civic Association, Co-production: Stanica Žilina – Zariečie, Záhrada – Center for Independent Culture in Banská Bystrica and Archa Theatre.
Body. Language. Painting. Invitation to the apocalyptic battle with memories, thoughts, ideas and concepts of human kind, the power of God, the senses, the beauty dreaming about love, wolves and other animal forms in us.
“As a kind of extension of this performance there we also three specific workshops, during which the participants together with me, Marek Menšík and Tomas Morávek worked on issues, developed them and played in the world of Animalinside. This experience was the very rewarding for the whole creative process. All those who attended the workshops brought us valuable insights on what was being formed. They revealed to us new contexts and inspired us to try different things. This show is so for me not only the result of the work of my closest team but also of the work done by participants in these workshops, whom I thank for being with us on this adventure of creation. Three workshops entitled “Physicality in literature” took place in November and December 2012 in Kosice, Stanica Žilina – Zariečie and Záhrada – Centre for Independent Culture in Banska Bystrica in Slovakia. ”

Most kezdődnek a próbák a ma esti előadáshoz. Reggel még elviszem a Poci kutyát sétálni, közben fényképezek, Martin Bálik a grafiti előtt, a sörösrekeszekből összeépített színház előtt. Borús idő, nyirkos levegő, lehangoló városi környezet: Stanica Žilina-Záriečie. A színházban majd melegebb hangulat lesz, remélem…

Petra Tejnorová et al.: Edge, documentary theatre / performance, Thursday 22. 11. 2012, 7pm
Edge symbolises transition period between active life and seemingly passive old age, openes up tabooed issues concerning aging, sexuality changes or perception of one’s body or loneliness. Non-sentimental performance between fiction and document using various expression methods and languages.
International author performance is a sonde into life of people over 60 who have been profesionally active in the field of dance and theatre. The main roles are taken by oldagers with their opinions and life experience, moving on the edge between performing their own lives and contemplating about their life transition from active to…
Petra Tejnorová a kol.: Edge – dokumentárne divadlo / performance štvrtok
Edge symbolizuje obdobie prechodu medzi aktívnym životom a zdanlivo pasívnou starobou, otvára okruh tabuizovaných tém spojených so starnutím, premenou sexuality a vnímania vlastného tela či samoty.

About the production
With international orientation this original production examines the life of people over 60, who worked all their life in different roles and professions at the theatre. It will work structurally with the not too exhausted area between the languages of theatre and dance breaking through the border separating the „documentary“ way of telling narratives arising from the experiences of our actors from the stylized form of theatre.
